Day 9

Two temples in one day, lots of walking.
We did the Temple of heaven first. The temple itself wasn't fantastic, but there were hundreds of people doing tai chi, singing, dancing, playing cards, it was one of my favorite parts of the trip! It was awesome to see the culture at such a ground level.
We went to the pearl market after, but nothing really relevant for me (you could pay $20 to open a mussel and keep the pearls inside, if there were any).
After that it was the Lama temple, lot of incense and the world's largest buddha, 18m. We even had a leader of Taiwan there, who was visiting the temple with about 20 of his entourage. I took a nap after in anticipation of a big party night and I guessed right, I came home at 6am.
