So I'll be picked up by Jarryd and his Dad tomorrow morning at 9:30am. We'll drive to JFK and the flight leaves for Delhi at 4pm. I already lost a little sleep last night thinking about the trip, who knows what will happen tonight!
So far we're meeting up with people from North Carolina, experiencing a massive Kite Festival (real life Kite Runner, for those of you who read the book/saw the movie), and enjoying a 10 course meal with 500 other indians! Then a few free days and off to the Tiger Temple! I'm not sure what to expect, but after getting a super short haircut today, I don't think I wold mind being bald for a little while.
I'm confident that things will go well and hopefully I will keep up my written daily journal for the duration of the trip (book prospect?).
Regardless, I hope plenty of people follow our travels and enjoy the stories that will unfold on this simple webpage.

hey max! heres some advise from my friend in indonesia:
Hey sry it's taken so long for me to reply. First week of classes is crazy but is soo good to be back. Well, there are millions of cool places to go in indonesia, it's hard to say where to go. I guess it depends if he wants to do beach, jungle, or what. Some of the cool thing I could potentialy hook him up with is going to a Dayak (Native ... Read Moreindonesian) village to go camping and see thier culture and the fact that my parents live in Balikpapan and he could chill with them. Theres really nothing to do in Balikpapan tho. Lets see.. i've been to Bali which is super touristy but really nice, for diving i've been to The Gili islands which is hippyish and beachy, Derawan island which kicked ass cuz you get to see mantas and a freshwater jellyfish lake although its super hard to get to. I've also been to Palu which is super good yet super cheap diving. I've also been to the Dayak village in East Borneo i was talking about before. I'd love to hear where he goes and what he does!
